Is Crypto.com Prediction Markets Legal?

Last updated October 6, 2026

Yes. Crypto.com's prediction markets, in the Crypto.com app and the OG.com app, trade on North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc., a CFTC-designated exchange and registered clearinghouse. OG says it's available in all US states, though some contracts aren't offered everywhere.

The licences behind it

Crypto.com owns North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc., which the CFTC lists as a designated contract market (since 2004, when it was HedgeStreet) and a registered clearinghouse. Crypto.com bought it in 2022. Both the Prediction tab in the Crypto.com app and the standalone OG.com app trade on it, and Crypto.com says it was the first to offer federally regulated sports contracts in the US, in December 2024.

Where it’s available

OG’s help centre says it’s available in all US states, but that some contracts may be unavailable in some states. OG launched in New York on June 13, 2026. Combos may also vary by state.

The court cases

Crypto.com is one of the apps fighting states over sports contracts. It lost in the 9th Circuit against Nevada in August 2026, alongside Kalshi and Robinhood, and has asked the Supreme Court to hear the case. Our legal guide explains where things stand.
