Robinhood’s prediction markets hub had no sign-up offer for event contracts when we checked on October 6, 2026. The only new-user reward is the general free stock for opening a brokerage account, worth $5 to $200. Robinhood says about 99% of people get $5.
In June 2026 Robinhood ran a World Cup promotion where referring five friends gave you commission-free World Cup trades. It was tied to the tournament, so don’t count on it now.
Fees matter more than the bonus here
Robinhood’s commission is the highest of the four apps we rate: 10% × price × (1 − price) per contract, or 5% with Robinhood Gold, plus the exchange’s fee. On a $100 trade at 50¢ that’s $5.00 in commission, against $3.50 total on Kalshi. A $5 stock reward covers about one trade’s worth of that difference.
